Resumen
Se registran 27 especies del género Strumigenys en Venezuela,
y se añade información sobre su distribución y biología.
De estas especies, 16 se registran por primera vez en el país, y
adicionalmente se describen las siguientes nuevas especies: anthocera,
humata, interfectiva, nubila, pariensis, spathula, tachirensis y usbensis.
Se presenta una clave para identificar las especies del género en
el Neotrópico.

Abstract
27 species of Strumigenys are reported from Venezuela and additional
information about their distribution and biology is included. Of these
16 are reported for the first time from the country, and the following
new species are described: anthocera, humata, interfectiva, nubila,
pariensis, spathula, tachirensis and usbensis. A kev for identifying
the Neotropical species is presented.
